Abstract

Eucalyptus leaves (Eucalyptus globulus) are commonly used as raw materials in the pharmaceutical industry. The content of chemical compounds in Eucalyptus leaves (Eucalyptus globulus) is divided into 3 groups, namely oxygenated monoterpenes, monoterpenes and oxygenated sesquiterpenes. The most commonly used cosmetic preparations for skin care are cream dosage forms because the cream is easy to spread evenly on the skin and is not sticky. This study aims to formulate a moisturizing cream preparation with Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) leaf oil as a natural skin moisturizer and to determine the ability of Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) leaf oil to treat dry skin. Eucalyptus leaf (Eucalyptus globulus) then made a formula, eucalyptus leaf extract cream was made in 5 formulas. Cream was made with a concentration variation of 1.5%, 2%, and 2.5%. All formulas were evaluated for physical properties and physical stability including organoleptic test, viscosity test, pH test and homogeneity test. Data from the results of tests conducted on cream preparations of eucalyptus leaf extract included tests of physical properties and physical stability of organoleptic, homogeneity and pH were tested descriptively. Physical properties (viscosity, and spreadability) were tested by linear regression and the Physical Stability was tested by one-way ANOVA.
