Abstract

This research was conducted to answer several problems related to: (1) Can a third party be held accountable for the wrong sales information in article 10 letter a? (2) How is the Marketplace Legal Liability resolved with consumers based on Article 49 Ayatt (1) Law on Consumer Protection for misinformation? The research method used in this research is normative legal research method or doctrinal legal research because this research examines positive legal norms. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded (1) That a third party, namely the marketplace can be held accountable for misinformation in sales (2) Settlement of marketplace legal responsibility with consumers based on Consumer Protection Law for misinformation can be through court (litigation) and non litigation. In the case the author wrote that the settlement in this case was non-litigation because the third party marketplace was willing to be responsible for the misinformation so that there was a suggestion that; (1) The marketplace is even more careful in providing information to consumers regarding goods to be used as selling objects. (2) Consumers need to be more careful that the marketplace can be held accountable if there is an error in the information on the goods to be sold.
